LEHMANN VS. LEHMANN – SŁAWNI FOTOGRAFOWIE RUMUŃSKICH KARPAT
Celem projektu „Lehmann vs. Lehmann” jest ukazanie poprzez fotografię podobnego do polskich krajobrazu Karpat Wschodnich (położonych wokół Braszowa) od czasów początku turystycznego zdobycia gór. Pierwsze chaty, ścieżki, stoki, stowarzyszenia zostały uwiecznione na fotografiach XIX-wiecznego fotografika Heinricha Lehmanna i pochodzą z kolekcji Brașov County History Museum oraz z Narodowego Archiwum w Braszowie. Kontynuacją kolekcji i uzupełnieniem wystawy są fotografie znanego alpinisty rumuńskiego Carola Lehmanna, który w okresie międzywojennym
i w czasach komunizmu wykonał ok. 4000 klisz fotograficznych (posługując się jeszcze szklanymi kliszami).
W Zakopanem prezentowana jest pierwsza wystawa projektu “Lehmann vs. Lehmann – sławni fotografowie rumuńskich Karpat”. Wystawa jest zarówno zaproszeniem do odkrywania historii cywilizacji górskiej poprzez fotografie, ale także przedsięwzięcie to jest wyrazem przyjaźni pomiędzy dwoma muzeami – Muzeum Tatrzańskim oraz Olimpia – the Muzeum Sportu i Turystyki Górskiej (sekcja Brașov County History Museum)
LEHMANN VS. LEHMANN – ICONIC PHOTOGRAPHERS OF THE ROMANIAN CARPATHIANS
The mission of the project “Lehmann vs. Lehmann” is to evaluate the same mountain cultural landscape (from the Brașov Carpathians) through photography, starting with the age of the beginnings of the tourist conquest of the mountains (the first huts, paths, slopes, associations), presented in the 19th century photographs of the Heinrich Lehmann collection, kept at the Brașov County History Museum and the Brașov National Archives, and continuing with the photographic work of the legendary man Carol Lehmann (approx. 4000 photographic plates), made in the interwar period and under communism, when he still used clichés on glass.
In Zakopane is the first exhibition of our project, called “Lehmann vs. Lehmann – iconic photographers of the Romanian Carpathians”. It is both an invitation to discover a part of the history of mountain civilization in images, and a gesture of friendship between two museums – the Tatra Museum and Olimpia – the Museum of Sports and Mountain Tourism (section of the Brașov County History Museum), united in ideals, traditions and cultural interests.
